Working with organisations making a difference

NGO Business Services works exclusively with non-profit organisations. Our clients vary in size, purpose and technical requirements, but often face similar challenges: limited resources, complex processes and technology that needs to support the organisation rather than create more work.

Our relationships range from individual pieces of support and development to major implementations and long-term partnerships.

Making a major change feel manageable

London Youth Choirs approached a major CRM project as a small charity with limited resources, tight schedules and little internal systems expertise. Its processes had accumulated workarounds over time, making change necessary but understandably daunting.

NGO Business Services spent substantial time listening to the operations team and mapping how work was really carried out—including both routine processes and unusual cases. That careful discovery helped win the trust of initially sceptical users and made the move to a new system feel manageable.

“They have a remarkable ability to truly listen to a charity’s needs and deliver practical, straightforward, and cost-effective solutions.”

From a failing migration to a successful launch

NGO Business Services became involved in July 2024 while The Fishermen’s Mission was moving from another CRM to Salesforce and the project was failing. Problems were resolved and the organisation was supported through a successful go-live.

The work began with understanding the charity—not only its supporters, clients and users, but also its values, ethics, budgets and available resources. Sue Bowles highlights excellent communication across her work with Lawrance, Natalie and Denise.

“They are highly knowledgeable, experienced, approachable and reliable and have taken the time to understand our charity.”

“They are happy to do all the development for us, or train us to be independent, and offer support with flow diagrams and procedures.”

A practical AI tool that supports human judgement

London Music Fund has worked with NGO Business Services over many years. As part of that relationship, it piloted the AI Summary App, which uses information already held in Salesforce to produce a structured baseline summary that people can review and refine.

The app was presented as a tool to support the organisation’s work, not as a replacement for human judgement. Chris Stone describes a reporting process made substantially faster by collating information into a useful starting point.

“The AI app provides a fantastic baseline that I can then refine. I really appreciated the honesty in how it was presented to us, from the outset it was clear this was a tool to support our work, not a replacement for human judgment. The time it saves by collating information has been genuinely transformational, significantly streamlining our reporting process. I would absolutely recommend it to other organisations looking to make their processes more efficient.”
